New RF 645

Robert- I confirmed with my record, at that time the price was indeed 553 GBP and shipping cost was 60 GBP. I have been followed their price, months ago, the price for a body and a 65mm lens was 650 GBP. In mid July they dropped the price to 553 for one body and two lens for a short while, then they raised it back to 650 GBP 😛

I just ordered a new RF645 with both the 45mm and 65mm lenses for about $1,500. With the $500 rebate, that brings the kit price in at about $1,000, which is a couple hundred less than Robert White. And the plus side is that I get the US warranty.

So, my slow-motion GAS attack had a good ending.

Now if I could lust sell that Zeiss 35/2.8 Biogon!

Hi just a question, if (and I hope not ) there was any trouble with the winding mechanism or some other mechanical problem where would I send it to be repaired , do bronica still offer technical support now they no longer make this camera ?

thanks all

Okay so I got my first test roll back from the lab, Provia 100f, and I'm really very pleased with the results , all the exposures were correct, and the images were sharp and contrasty with punchy colour, (just how I like em) I even did some night time semi hand held leaning on a fencepost that came out great. I am loving this camera, it's in my bag all the time and has gotten me really excited about making pictures again.

so far so good , would seriously recommend it. another thing I normally shoot exclusivly landscape format but havnt found this a problem to re-orientate the camera.
Also I realised that if you hang the camera around your neck with the straps attached to the lugs on the left side of the camera it hangs sideways, meaning the frame is in landscape format. with the 45mm lens pre focussed and with a small apeture and a cable release you could get some very candid street shots shooting from the hip without drawing attention to yourself,
anyway sorry to ramble but thought the opinion of a new user might be of interest to anyone considering this camera. go for it!

Sounds as if your new purchase is working out well, Paulo. We'd all love to see some photos!

My RF645 arrived today, and I am impressed. It's quite compact for MF, and the build quality seems quite good. The only problem that I've found is the verticle rangefinder adjustment is off, so I'll send it off for adjustment before I set it through its paces.

The 100mm? Where are they?
Does anyone know how many were produced? I've found a few links for some (new), but of course, the link was old and there were no more left. This is frustrating.

Good question, Bill... I think not many were made, maybe just one production run to replace the recalled 135mm plus some in expectation of expanded sales. It was the first major component to go out of stock with the US importer.

Currently the 135mm is even scarcer, and of course that has to be the one I'm looking for!
