Hi,

I ordered my first RF camera yesterday, a Bessa R with 35/2.5C lens - closeout at
CameraQuest. I hope it will arrive safely in Belgium...

I think of getting a Nikon coolscan V ED, which is within my budget.
from what I understand, it is best to scan C41 B&W films. I have a few questions

Is there somewhere a list of C41 B&W films to get a quick look at the available film.

Is there a good scan software which works for this scanner and Windows Vista ?

Is it possible to see some examples from RF users who also use this scanner ?

Thanks a lot ! I hope I'll like the RF adventure, but I'm convinced I will.

Welcome Henk - I cannot answer your scanning question but I am sure someone else will - there are a lot of helpful people around here at RFF.... but beware - you may end up with more than one RF camera if you spend too much time here!!

I started coming here since I was interested in Nikon RF´s but all the good stuff here has resulted in me also getting a Bessa R2S plus a few old Russian Kievs....

Jon

I just use Nikon Scan with the Coolscan V (Mac OS X). Here two samples of Kodak B&W 400 pics (shot in very contrasty light) done on this scanner:
