Thank you very much for all the support and positive comments!

I haven’t send out any invoice yet as we are having the Chinese New Year currently. Many people sending me emails asking when and how to pay for the lens. I am very sorry that I don’t have the time to reply to all the emails. Again, I will make sure everyone who placed the order will have the lens. Please just be more patient and wait for my further update. Thank you for your understanding.

Cheers,
Kevin

Happy new year! Thanks for the update.
I was just worried that maybe you guys were having issues emailing the invoice to my account and then me ending up getting banned from future Mr Zhou projects and my lens ending up to someone else 🙂

I bet "8-ELEMENT" will be a common request. That's what mine was.

mine is my daughters initials and date of birth on chrome

No need to worry. I have all the order records and I have already reserved lenses for all the orders. No one will miss the first batch.

The shown lenses look beautiful to me. WOW! Some display " 8-ELEMENT" on the front. I wonder what each lens displays. Is there a record on what has been written so far on the front of the ordered lenses?

Hi Raid, my lens says 8-ELEMENT too, and I know my serial number, and I can see it in amongst all these beautiful jewels and works of love. Hopefully Kevin would start an “official” Replica thread and we could post our photos from it on that thread. Can’t wait.

Good idea! I will start an new thread for the replica 8-element owners to post their photos and share their thoughts.

These photos were taken by one of the earliest users who got the retail replica lens. The maker want me to share these photos with the forum members here.

This is such a fantastic project, thanks for all the work. Personally, I'm waiting out the LTM-version. Hopefully I will have funds ready when it is available.

The replica lens will back on production after the Chinese Lunar Year holiday. It may take time for the maker to finish the earliest orders first.

Kevin

What is the impact of coronavirus on production? It seems the official holiday is extended.

Maybe you can ask the maker if he has any preference how shots with this lens are tagged on social media (e.g., Flickr, instagram, ect.)? Don't know if there's a company name involved or what, but I have a feeling when the RFF lot get their hands on this lens, there'll be an explosion of pictures, although your Flickr album has done a good job in this regard too.

I have decided to use my replica during my summer travels for an extensive use of this lens on my M9. I get maximum exposure to a chosen lens when I use it in a long trip, day in - day out.

Same here Raid. Long term use of a single lenses allows one to get to know the subtle particulars of a lens and how to exploit it strengths in capturing images with a certain look and presentation.

Hi Kevin,
Happy Chinese New Year!
My prayers to the Wuhan and people in China. Let hope everything is back to normal soonest possible. Though I am not sure whether the coronavirus will have any impact, but wishes the lens makers and technicians take extra precaution and measures to protect themselves.
