[New test photos released] Leica Summicron 35/2 Eight Element copy made in China

Chrome because it's well known (see Puts) that chrome lenses are sharper, have better OOF rendering than their black counterparts, and give the user about a 2 stop advantage in image stabilization. As for brass lenses...I could not possibly comment publicly. 😉

Agreed. Chrome is best (assuming it's real chrome & not a silver paint).

Hey guys! Stop hinting at not buying the brass finish lens! It looks kinda cool. Right?

Why get something unique and make it look ordinary? Really looking forward to getting that bit of bling mounted on the front of my camera (and taking photos with it of course)!

I went with brass and my name on it, for maximum vanity. 😀

No worries about the production delay, Kevin. I've heard the virus outbreak is causing disruptions for many manufacturing and electronics companies. Tell Mr. Zhou to take the time he and his team need; I'm sure we'd all prefer to receive lenses made with attention and care, rather than ones rushed out to meet impatient customers.

How do I pre order one of these lenses? Where do I send payment for this lens? Who do I contact here ?

Pre-ordering ended Dec 15, 2019 for the first batch of 500 lenses. Review the entire thread for the rest of the story.

No money has changed hands yet.

See the first post of this thread to see who to contact. Kevin's email is 8elementsreplica@gmail.com - do not private message him on RFF because his inbox has been full for weeks.

Thank you so much for helping me answer the question.
