There are so many versions of the 35mm Summilux. To make a scientific ranking takes many years!
Erik.

Wonderful to see replica lens shots taken on both film as well as digital. Thanks Charles and Raid...all lovely shots!
Question Raid. On that first color image, the top right and left side corners show a intense blue/cyan sky. Was that image taken wide open. If so, the lens vignetting would probably be the explanation.

Just received my copy. Thanks Kevin!!!

Nicely done, Jon.
Is your lens free of any 4?

It may have been created with photoshop. The colors were dull in some images.
Interesting re the blue/cyan cast. Something to do with the coating type maybe? Anson reported on his website (link below) that there appears to be two variations of single coating - purple and amber.

My lens, which is a reasonably early one has the purple coating. Reasonably early as in it was already manufactured in late January but due to Corona screwing things up I didn't actually receive it until early May. Four months delay 😱
Those that already have a lens, what color coating did you get? Purple or amber???
Hey Jon, it is hard to tell by serial. When I did the review there is one in blue/purple coating with serial later than an amber coating both serial number #20X and marked as V2LC.
Very nice shot!!
Thanks for the clarification, Anson. Oh well, I guess I can toss my idea that the serial numbers may tell us something about the coating type out the window lol
Thanks!
