New to Film Rangefinders (what to choose?)

Bessa R with a 35mm or a 28mm lens.
Or go wide and do the Bessa L and 15mm lens.

It'll all have to be second hand and might break the budget.

You're 19 and can afford a 5D? phew..

yes i spent 2 month salary on the 5d hahaha
but it didn't matter, i make quite a bit on my photoshoots
3 jobs and the 5d's literally free 😛

With all due repect, the M3's only advantage may be its rangefinder and simply its superior engineering (well, I think I would need to mention it has a quite shutter, compared to and SLR but IMHO only nice leaf shutters deserve to be called silent). A Bessa R would let you use M lens on a more "advanced" camera.

Actually, the Bessa R will NOT let you do so as it is an LTM camera. The Bessa R2, R2A and R3A will let you mount M lenses, as will the CL, which for me as a more useful camera than my M2. But that's perhaps just me. 😛
