If by "special glow" you mean that Nikkor 5cm f1.4 lens shot fully open veiling flare, then it is a good thing that this new Heliar lens does not have that.

The image above reminds me of my Luxon 50/2 adapted to LTM from Braun Paxette mount. The OOF looked also special with that lens. Brian Sweeney changed the mount to M, with RF focus. This lens is rather rare now.
Early days but there a certain clarity to the b/w images that seems to pop. Im thinking its suited well for black and white.
Although I cant scientifically say for certain but imo low element count lenses seem to have that sparkle that is difficult to achieve in overly corrected, high element count lenses.
A very interesting lens, I love its exterior design and as a lover of vintage lenses I like the concept in general. Will wait out to see photos on film though, I find that bokeh is often smoother on film, less harsh.
