New WHITE M8.2

after seeing those hi-res images i'm quite the fan.
no that i would choose this over chrome or black paint, but hey...
if i was going to get a 3rd m8 - this would be the one!

Awesome.

. . . This white "monster" again further proof of how out of touch the people in the upper management and new owner of Leica is !!

Dear Laurance,

You've met them all, then? And you have better ideas than they have?

Look at it another way. If this is real (and I have my doubts), then if it sells 10 more Leicas at a profit, what's the problem?

People who are going to buy new Leicas, whether to use or as status symbols, are unlikely to be put off by even the silliest commemoratives and specials, most of which are in any case commissioned by dealers, clubs, etc., rather than being originated 'in house'. The ones who complain most are the ones who would never buy a new Leica anyway, either because "it's not worth it" or because they simply can't afford it.

Land Rover called the nerds' bluff on this one, by leaving the 'Classic' Range Rover in production when they brought out the new body. Unsurprisingly, those who could actually afford a new Range Rover bought the new version by a vast margin, and the old version was quite soon dropped, because those who howled loudest were not actually buyers (or in most cases, even potential buyers) of new Range Rovers.

Roger

Im starting to like it, especially the photos linked on this page. And to the people who say it has no use. the only thing it may not be ideal for is candid street photography, for anything else the colour of the camera doesnt matter. Id love it for a camera to photograph my friends and have fun with (suppose its not really priced for that though lol)

It's not a 8.2

It's not a 8.2

My Leica dealer says that the white Leica is a M8, not a 8.2.

That makes the price even harder to understand.
