In my view, the functional equivalent of the ZI among CV cameras is an R2/3A with an auxiliary 28 mm finder, which costs $700 for the combination. It appears that the Hong Kong price for the ZI will be $1400 or less. so, buying a ZI will be like buying two of the new Bessas. A lot of people on this forum seem to do that.

pricewise, buying a zeiss ikon will be like buying an m3 when it came out.
