Well, now that the Ikon has be renewed its aonly fair to give it it's own forum. Here you go.

Is this for discussion of the "new Zeiss Ikon" or is it a new "Zeiss Ikon" forum? Guess what I'm asking is, is this forum open to discussion about all Zeiss Ikons, old and new?

In my view, the functional equivalent of the ZI among CV cameras is an R2/3A with an auxiliary 28 mm finder, which costs $700 for the combination. It appears that the Hong Kong price for the ZI will be $1400 or less. so, buying a ZI will be like buying two of the new Bessas. A lot of people on this forum seem to do that. 😉

pricewise, buying a zeiss ikon will be like buying an m3 when it came out.
