I ordered a Zorki 6 with the J-8 lens from Yuri, and I'm expecting it sometime the early part of next week. It'll show up just about in time for the granddaughter's visit next week. I have a soft spot in my heart (and probably my head) fir FSU cameras. This will make Number 5, and counting.
I enjoy using them for their own sake, and not merely as a Leica substitute. My stepmother was Russian, so I take that as an explanation of my fascination with things Russian and Ukrainian. Anyway, I anticipate having fun with it, as with its siblings. (FED 1-g, Zorki MIR, FED 2, Kiev 4-AM.)
With best regards,
Pfreddee(Stephen)

I didn't know they made a 6, when were they made and what are the specs? Also a photo would be great. I have a 1c and a Keiv Contax knockoff and like them much. Jim

Looks like the 5 only with a hinged back. Has a nice big viewfinder; actually one of the best FSU users IMHO. Hipster factor not as big as the viewfinder though

Think FED-2 with a lever wind, hinged back, and 1:1 viewfinder. As with the FED, there are no slow speeds.

The VF isn't 1:1, it's more like 0.75 but it's quite bright and usable. Very underrated camera IMO.Think FED-2 with a lever wind, hinged back, and 1:1 viewfinder. As with the FED, there are no slow speeds.

I love my Zorki-6. Great camera. From time to time I put my Leica m6 on the shell and go out with Zorki-6.
Since I am a Russian man and got lucky to have a friend who is a used photogear shop owner, I tried all the russian rangefinders and lens (Kievs, FEDs, Zorkis, Leningrads) and Zorki-6 is the one I have bought for myself (with Jupiter-3, of course + jupiter-12).
Yes, reduced slow speeds, but.. I just don't feel any need of them. Good finder (compared to Zokri-4 and Zorki-4k) and an improved reliable shutter (compared to Zorki-5).
Here are some shots from it:

Wow, Klapka. They're some stunning shots. As if I wasn't lusting after a Zorki 6 enough...!

Thanks, it was the very camera (or perhaps it was the Jupiter-3.. can't tell fo shure) which turned me a rangefiderer.
So, I do love it (as well as the Jupiter).

And, yes, I got my Zorki 6. I'm running a roll of film thorugh it and I'll post some pics as soon as I learn how to post..
(Sort of like the Shel Silverstein poem: ..."Oh, I'm off to the moon with the Flying Festoon, just as soon as he learns how to fly"...

Have you had a problem pushing the rewind button instead of the shutter? Also my Leica 50mm Elmar will not focus to infinity but the Russian Lens are ok, kind of wierd. I love the camera.
