if i get the e620, what len should i get to get a Noctilux-like effect?
 
and just to save money,will a M8 do instead of a M8.2? i m a little concern abt buying an older model..

do they diff a lot/enough that i should get the M8.2?
 
the 50/1.5 nokton will work with an ltm-to-m lens adapter.

if you pick the e620, the closest you can get to a noctilux is the leica 25/1.4 summilux. if you don't mind a longer focal length, the 35/1.4 nikkor noct is worth looking at, and an adapter is available. another option is the sigma 30/1.4, which is available in 4/3 mount.

the m8.2, to my mind, is really only desirable for the new and improved black paint finish, black dot, and vulkanit covering. you might find this interesting:

How about getting a full frame Canon DSLR and the Canon EF 50 1:1.0 L lens?
That would be the combo I would get, if I just wanted to take pictures with the ease of a point-and-shoot. Set it to aperture priority f1.0, let the autofocus do the work and shoot. As a newbie with a Noctilux you would get lots of photos which will be out of focus. Especially if you are coming from a point and shoot DLux3. Might get quite frustrating - focusing, exposing the film properly...

If you want to go rangefinder, why don't you go film and get an M7. With just 36 shots you will start thinking more about what to take a picture of and how to take it. Then get a nice lens, like the Zeiss ZM C Sonnar 1/1.5 50mm - it doesn't get any creamier wide open for that little money compared to a Noctilux.
 
Can I suggest getting an M8 (new or used) and a 50 Summilux ASPH for it? That should satisfy the requirements you're after, and the 50 gives nice bokeh. It's not a Nocti, but it's a damn fine lens.

You could always rent an M8 from a local dealer and see if you like it first... You probably won't be able to rent that fast 50, but at least you can get a feel for the camera.

You have other lens options aside from a noct... cv 35/1.2, 50/1.5, even 75/2.8... and a used leica 50/1.4 pre-asph (.7 m focus gives very nice bokeh). then you have the cannon 50/1.2 ltm, or even the leica 75/1.4, which will be less than half the price of the nocti.

so you've got options with the rf for sure, but why not rent before you buy?

2) will CANON Ti? NIKON 5000D be a good replacement for M8?

3) n from all of you guyz, it sounds like using M8 required some skills...but i dun understand...isnt all you do is manual focus n shoot (in simple sense)? what makes it so difficult? sorry if it sounds offensive (i dun mean to be)..i am juz trying to understand..
