Have fun! Ironically, my first and only trip to Newfoundland so far began in Hamilton. I flew there for a conference from Regina, and then went to St. John's from there.

The plane I was on had to detour there during a trip from the UK to Cuba. I've been fascinated by the place ever since. I look forward to seeing you shots.

I still don't leave for over a month, I'm trying to figure out what I will need.

2 Bodies (M5 for B&W film, R2A for slides and colour film)
3 Lenses (35mm f/2 Biogon, J-3, CV 21mm)
20 Rolls B&W film (deciding between TRI-X and HP5)
10 Rolls Colour film (4 rolls K64, 6 rolls Fuji 400H Pro?)
F-5XB to carry one body + film while I shoot with 2nd body
Film picker
Mini tripod
Extra Batteries
Sharpie Pen
Notebook and ink pen
Microfibre cloths to wrap lenses in
Filter wallet with filters (Yellow, Red)

All this fits in the F-5XB as long as I have one body out of the bag.

It's only a 10-hour drive, so pop over to Gros Morne. I'm joking, but joking on the square. As grand, majestic and unbelievable as Yosemite to be sure.

Someone was asking me yesterday if I was going there, I'll have to Google it... but that might be dangerous. 😛

yeah, you might need an extra canister of petrol in the trunk for the drive to Gros Morne, but Gros Morne might be worth it - otherworldly - very beautiful. Some of the oldest exposed rocks on the planet are there.

Yeah, I shouldn't have Googled Gros Morne. Not sure if I will have time this trip... looks like it's a trip unto itself.

Grosse Morne is a trip in itself.To get the best of that area,you must be willing to hike.Seeing you're out on the east coast,you should drop over to Cape St Mary's.That's something you won't regret.It's facinating to see a couple of hundred thousand sea birds(gannets which are huge and others like kittewakes).Bring a hat if you go there.You'll need it.
After that,go up to Bonavista to get real close to puffins.There's a little area in Bonivista called Spillars Cove.Go there and you can stand 50 feet from a nesting area of puffins.Let the little buggars get used to you and they'll be landing next to you.All along the Bonavista Peninsula are photo ops.All in all,Newfoundland is a beautiful place,but it's bigger than many think and you need alot of time to explore it properly.2 weeks don't scratch the surface.

I have 30 rolls of HP5 ordered and already have 7 rolls of Fuji 400H and 3 rolls of K64 ready to go. I bought a mini tabletop tripod and a new moleskine to record names, places, exposures etc. I don't leave for another 2 weeks but I think I'm ready to go.
