Funny, I have no idea how the background behind the Sony sign and logo came out blue. It is black as the rest of the body. Which BTW is a really nice hard Mag Alloy. Feels very solid.

Jeez, that body makes the tiny nokton seem huge!
Kinda, it makes it feel like you are just carrying a lens with a little body for the shutter button. The user interface is night and day over the older NEX 5/3 even with their upgraded firmware. Shutter is quieter. using the menu controls is tons easier, but most of all the Image IQ is outstanding, plus Auto ISO (which I am a shameful fan there of) now goes from 100-3200 instead of 200-1600.:D

I'm a big fan of it on digital cameras like the nex or fuji (i.e. cameras with great high ISO capabilities), but not on the digital M. :)

Ignoring the unexpected blue sections... the lens/camera combo looks strange.
It all in the feel. Besides I was always told I was a strange. Anyway the fit in the hand is an acquired taste for sure and most likely not for everyone.

Nice. Have you been able to compare the Nokton's edges on NEX5n vs. NEX5? The edges of the Nokton on my NEX5 aren't very good, even at f8, so I'm hoping new micro lenses help that along.

Will be working on this over the weekend. I suspect it will be better because there fixes in the firmware that weren't in the older version.

It looks as it might be more "grippable" than a Nex 3 or the prior Nex 5. Do you find it so?

The Nokton/Nex combination appears better proportioned than a Nex/Summicron c which is elegant. IMHO.

Ha. Try a 180 R lens. The camera body is an afterthought.

Ben

Do not have a 180 R, but it is a postage stamp at the back of a 180 Nikkor or my 400mm Fern Kilar.

Lenses that are of a size that make the nex compact and handy are at a premium.
