I'll be in the dissent here and say that 24megapixels is a turn off for me. I don't like to crop if I can avoid it, and I've printed 5-6mp files at 13x19 with no problem. When I do a restaurant shoot of ~1000 images, I start to run out of room to store all that...
When I tried out the D7000, I found that the high resolution sensor was very demanding on glass. Nothing I had could take advantage of the resolution, and I found it harder to hand-hold it as it would blur from wiggle more easily.
For me, I've found 12mp to be the sweet spot. I just can't see what 24mp is for except extreme cropping and giant prints.

I'm not interested in macro, but tried the DR Summicron 50 on the GXR M-12 unit and like the results better than I get with the GXR/!2 50mm-e lens. I think that the characteristic look of the DR Summicron at f/2.0 shows through, perhaps because oif the absence of an AA filter. Am thinking of selling the A12/28 and A12/50 camera units and using my Leica M-Lenses, although I want to see how the NEX-7 works with the lenses because I like the NEX-7 design and the high-resolution EFV.

Well I pre-ordered a GXR and M-module, I have been using my M lenses on a Nex-3 for a year now and I am just not happy with the sharpness (lack of) with the Sony. I was late to digital and started out with a used Sigma SD-9 Lots of issues but sharpness was not one with my images. They also have no AA filter, and people would always ask how I got such sharp prints. To me they just looked normal until I started to use the Sony and then I could see the difference, and asked myself the same question!

It seemed as though I was being challenged as to whether or not I had read reports of corner softness with legacy glass on the new NEX cameras. I simply posted the link to where I had seen mention of it (see posts 7 & 8 at the above mentioned link to the FM forum).

Regarding the GXR EVF focusing concerns....I recently purchased the GXR w/ 28mm module and evf and have downloaded the latest firmware for the module which allows for the peaking mode and high pass filter focus mode on the 28mm module (which is what will be available for the M-Module). I'm an M shooter and I have not had a problem focusing with the EVF. I have set-up my function buttons so it me to quickly get in and out of the focus and magnification modes. As said before, it's definitely not the same as focusing with a rangefinder, but it is usable and fairly quick. My problem with the EVF and I'm assuming I would have this same problem with something like the NEX 7, is the blackout that occurs when hitting the shutter button. For shooting street, it just doesn't work for me which is why I think the fuji X100 is on to something. I plan on buying optical VF's for the GXR since I use the snap mode for street anyway and it will rid myself of the black-out.
