Digital sensors can get damaged by such non-retrofocus lens. It cannot be used as is on the M8 or M9. I am sure of it. It has to be a film camera.
I have a Nikon RF camera and several Leica film RF cameras.
The Nikkor-O 21mm f/4 is specifically shaped to key into the Nikon F and F2 bodies, and shouldn't be used on anything else without understanding the keying and how to implement it.
Thank you for the tip. It will go higher in price soon, I think.
There are others with Buy It Now listings in the $40 to $59 range. I just bought one myself, for $55, for my plain prism Nikon F. (I like waist level finders.)

I need to load my F2 with B&W film and use the 21/4 again to get a feel for the lens.

I also own a Minolta Rokkor 21/4 non-retro focus lens that I can match an adapter Rokkor-LTM.
I like it a lot.
