Anyone have success using Nikkor LTM lenses on M8? Lenses work great on my M3 but bind on my M8. Wondering if it is just me?

That's quite likely not true. The Nikkor LTM lenses, themselves, won't mount on any M body. What is probably binding is your LTM>M adapter.

The only way the lens could be at fault would be if an infinity lock is sticking out sideways from the lens' barrel and rubbing against the body's mount release or something similar.

Some Nikkor LTM lenses (for example 35/2.5 and 28/3.5) do not work properly on newer Leicas unless you change the frameline lever (M4p and M6 in my case). Not sure how wide the M8 frameline lever is, but I wouldn't discard that it can happen there, too.

OP, let us know which lenses you are talking about and which LTM adapter you are using. Then we can help.

Roland.

I used to use my 50mm f1.4 nikkor-sc all the time on my old M8.2
No problems what so ever.

I have 2 adapters: 1 genuine Leica the other something else. The 3.5cm 2.5 focus binds on my M8 with both of these adapters. The lens works fine with both adapters on my M3.

Can you post photos of the lens with the adapters? Front/lower side of the lens on the adapter and back side of the lens on the adapter?

For the 3.5cm 2.5 you need (1) a "type 1" adapter, and as I said above (2) the small frameline lever of M2 or M3. The infinity lock will hit the frameline lever of newer Leicas. Which is why I swapped framelines levers on my M4P and M6.
