I recently took out my Nikon SP. I had it stored in a nice dry and non-humid bag with the Nikon 3.5cm 1:2.5 f3.5 W-Nikkor-C lens attached. I decided to clean it and when trying to move the aperture noticed it no longer moves. When I do turn the aperture ring, the focusing ring also moves, and the blades to not open or close. What can I do to possibly fix this? Or, am I doing something wrong since I have been shooting with my DSLR and not used this in some time?

Well what the heck, I got it myself..for a bit, I had to remove the lens from the body, and used lots of elbow grease. It moved freely for a bit, opening and closing the blades. I then put it back on the SP and it is now will not close. I took the lens off and now the blades will not close all the way down. Now it will only move from 2.5 to just a little past 2.8.

I wouldn't move the aperture ring, seems like the blades are seized...might break a blade if it is forced.

Time for a CLA.

Actually, while having a filter on there, I used my grip strength moving the ring a little back and forth. It is now opening and closing with ease(f2.5-f22). I agree that needs to go to the shop some time. Is there anyone you would suggest?
