From my recollection. No. In fact, I think the GR1 series are the only one's that do have a snap mode where the camera is classed as a 'high end' compact. Although the Contax T does have a setting where you line up the distance and aperture scale to a green dot and it is effectively snap mode. Manual camera though.
Don't think there's any other compact at the level of a GR1v that has a dedicated snap mode. The Contax T is the only thing that comes close, so if you fancy a manual camera then that is highly recommened. Outstanding lens. In my opinion, better than the T2 or T3 lens.
I have the 35Ti and the 28Ti. amazing optics. Same class of optics as the T3 but a different toy. My Contax T3 also has optics that will blow you away. No Photoshop.
the 35ti might have something - "For situations where both autofocusing and focus lock inoperative, you can also use the preset focus feature. It is also useful when you want to lock focus to a certain shooting distance. The same "AF" mark for infinity focus is used to activate this feature." from: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photograph...s/compact-images/Nikon35Ti28Ti/Html/index.htm
A bit overpriced, though. I got mine in excellent condition from a reputable seller for $280 and sold it at about the same price. And it wasn't even a quick sale.
