Nikon D200 and new Nikkor 35mm f1.8

I've got a flickr contact who has been using the 35/1.8G on his D700 in FX (full frame) mode with good success (with some light fall off, of couse).

Sort of works.. at f1.8 anyway. I suppose that when stopping down, the vignetting gets worse. Still, it's surprising for what it does..

Okay, I'm intrigued by this lens as it could prove useful at that focal length and being pretty fast - all at a cheap price. BUT, what's CA?! I'm probably just being dim but I can't work it out.

I'd be looking at using this on D3s' if poss too.

CA Chromatic Abberation

In short, it's purple fringing along edges with strong contrast..

For £200 I can take a risk of the occasional Purple Fringed Meaney popping up.

If you're VAT registered yourself you tell the UK supplier and he sells it to you in Germany VAT free and it goes on the forms you submit to your VAT authority.

If you're not VAT registered you pay UK VAT no matter where in the EU you order it from.

Just got mine (yea!) and after playing around with it for an hour, I think I might as well epoxy it to one of my D40 bodies. Sweeeeet.
