Don't give them ideas! If so, they should put a warning on the display every time a photographer leaves the P and/or AF setting : "Beware, this setting my result in blurry or badly exposed pictures". 😀

I wish! Sadly that's not the case. DPReview reporting on an actual camera supplied by Nikon to them:
"The shutter speed dial has a central locking button that has to be pressed down every time you want to move it."

Isn't it time to go to bed Keith ? 😛 😀Which just proves that that you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet! 😀
...Wanting to please everyone is the best way to please nobody at the end of the day...
+1My conclusion is to see this camera as a first attempt, the Leica 240 arrived after the m9, m8.2, m8 and when we go through the Leica forum there have been many complains about these models when they hit the market.

Since you got rid of your classic Crocodile Dundee avatar you must be ready for ev-er-y-thing ! 😀It wasn't a good start to the evening when I got home and discovered I was interested in a 'poser's camera!' LOL 😀

You should. The retro for posers is quite trendy these times don't you know ? 😀I'll return to that avatar eventually ... I just like to have a break from it occasionally! 😀

They are aiming this camera at those 90 million Nikkor owners. I have a few Nikkors myself, as just about everyone on this forum.
Why ? If what has been written above re. the focusing screen is true, using AI(s) lenses with the Df won't be the least bit easier or more convenient than with the D700/600.Either the camera is a success and in consequence the price of second hand AI (s) lenses will rise considerably, or it is a downright sales failure and the market will get flooded with AI (s) lenses. Either way, mine will stay where they are.
