Hi there!

I was thinking

1/I have an Hexar RF and am in the process of getting an MP or a M6.

2/ I am the happy owner of two nikkor 1.4 lenses (35mm and 50mm)
3/ The Noctilux or Summilux are no realistic ($)options
4/ some adapters exist why not use them?

Has anyone used one of them? I've seen some on cameraquest but would like to compare and not just buy one .

Any clue?

Thanks 🙂

Hi ,

I got the cameraquest Contax/yashica to M adapter and it works fien. it i srangefinder coupled, you just have tp transfer the reading to the lens focus ring.
this weekend i shot some pics an the turned out great!

Ciao

I have a Nikon to M adapter that I used on my Nikkor 28mm before I got the Hexanon. You do have to use the distance scale for focusing but the adapter works really well. I got mine from Cameraquest also.

Thanks guys!
According to Cameraquest those work especially with wides and won't be of use on a 35 and a 50....
I'llkeep on investigating then....

Depends on what apertures you want to use. Scale focussing a 35 successfully with reasonable apertures is possible. If you stick to f2.8 plus, you're in Minox35 territory. I've used those, and though the successrate wasn't 100%, I got a fair share of keepers.

Well thanks for sharing!
ACtually I did trade a 50mm hexanon for a Nokton 1.4 in the end. I have one week to try it and to see whether it was a good choice! My Nikkor will stay on my FM3a...
Thanks again
