So, the long and short with as much info as I can.
When I mount either the 35mm F2 or 50mm F2 to my Nikon F2 with dp-1 the aperture on the outside/front of the head reads correct aperture however the window inside, via the finder, shows f2.8 when the lens is set to f2. This remains consistent through the range. A stop off essentially.
Any wise Nikon sage with words of wisdom to fix?
I have re-mounted the lens at f5.6 with corresponding aperture on front of head window numerous times. Before I start a tear down of the head I thought I'd ask here first.
Cheers in advance for your input.

You need to turn the aperture ring on the lens all the way right and left at first, this should index it properly - are you normally doing that?

Remove the lens, then push the DP-1 coupling dot all way up with your finger until you hear a loud "click" then re-do the procedure from the beginning.
If this doesn't solve it, you're in for removing the DP-1 front cover and see what's wrong inside it.
