Hello everyone!
I just adjusted the rangefinder both vertically and horizontally on my S2, and decided to make an instruction with a picture of how to do it. After removing the front plate by unscrewing the four screws in the front, follow these instructions:

Of course, you gotta remember to fasten the B1 screw by turning it clockwise after adjusting vertically. 🙂

Is this adjustment identical to the Nikon SP and S3?
Anyone knows if the re-issue rangefinders are any different (any traps or unique traits here) ?

No like in the S2 and SP/S3 adjustment are not different or no as in they are and no traps or specialties to be expected?

No as in RF adjustment of the reissues is no different from the S2 and vintage SP/3. However unlike the vintage Nikons, there are Philips head screws inside the reissues, but I can't remember if they're used for the RF adjustment screws (I don't think so but it's been a while since I opened one up so I'm not 100% sure). That would be the only different if any. The basic mechanism is the same.

Would you agree that the basic adjustment procedure is the same for all cameras and any differences basically comes down to ease of access to the screws that need to be adjusted?
I know the lock screw for the vertical adjustment cog is a pain to get at.

stick screwdriver in access hole. wiggle it around until you find the screw head. adjust screw! same for all of 'em 😎
