I notice that all listings from a retailer have disppeared. Are we back to a more 'homey', personal, individual's classified section ? If so, I am delighted. Or are we just taking a breather ? 😀 😀

I was also suprised by this. Last night, it was a veritable 'garden' and today not. Some mentioned this on another thread. I think sponsors have every right to post classifieds, but it was beginning to look a little choked by just one seller's items--almost all of which were high-ticket. I like to be able to spot those cheap little Oly's that I have such a weakness for!

Sponsors can post in the classifieds. They tend to have unique items to post which people find interesting. Sometimes they post a lot but there is nothing wrong with that. Sometimes people get upset when they post but I personally dont see why. They have a lot to offer and someone just may be looking for what they list.

I think it was more the matter of so many postings by one sponsor, at once. Others have complained in the past that this was the problem with a glut of gallery postings by one person all at once....it made the "recent" postings section very monochromatic. And also it might be better selling strategy to post a few at a time. If Luigi did that with his Leica Dowry then we'd all be enthralled for weeks and weeks...

Perhaps Admin should do as one member advised elsewhere- have a separate section for classifieds from sponsors. I believe there is benefit to separating out these two kinds of listings.

I was quite exitant to post my items. Then,. Jorge encouraged me to post. Two of my cases (special) listings, THREE sales. But:

1) I saw really many posts from dealers, at current prices, and that seemed to me only a FREE eBay-likeadvertising

2) Too much posts from us dealers, are, in my sincere opinion, boring

3) What I feel worst, unlike in eBay, some sellers, almost two of them, disregarded my (as 1st, for SURE) purchasing decision !

What I am now officially asking to Jorge (what I already requested directly) is to sost somewhere in the RFF the necessary RULES for the classified's section.

It can be (or become) terrific, useful, funny, interesting, BUT rules are necessary !
If I'll place some other ads, I will do my best in order to offer spacial (lowered) prices.

For full prices purposes, exist already eBay, and most sellers have theis web site.

Ciao, Luigi

Man, what a class act.

I do agree 110% with Luigi, I am OK with retailer's listings, providing that they don't flood the classified section and they make special offers not available elsewhere, anything else they should use the evil bay.
Luigi's offers on his cases were a good example.

What bcs89,fgianni and srtiwari said.

When I went to classifieds tonight I saw a new section for sponsor ads. What a perfect answer to the question.
