A story that no one wants to hear...? Hmmm, I have one...
At almost 70 with 50 years of photographic passion I'm now ...let's say very..."confused" about gear...
I like to shoot film with my old (and good) film cameras, but sometimes I feel the need of a good digital...because not always I like to scan...and I have no more a darkroom...
I think that most of the cameras on the market have an image quality which is more than ok for my needs, no doubt here.
So it's all about handling and simplicity of use, reliability and size...one or two lenses not more.
From one side I like classic controls and the Nikon DF was a good candidate...but it's large and I would like to have something small and the recent Oly Pen F is beautiful. But I always like to try something new and different, being "innovative" keeps my old brain alive and a very innovative cameras is the Leica T now TL about which I'm very curious. Perhaps too innovative and it seems the Fuji X PRO2 is very good and interesting, just read a review here on RFF...for sure the M 262 is very similar in use to my m7 and I already have the lenses...
Long story short: I still shoot film and scan, my only digital camera is a now six years old X1 with dust on the sensor...maybe one day...🙂
