In 2010, I went to Columbus, Georgia to attend a reunion of the An Lac orphans who evacuated Saigon as the North Vietnamese were about to enter the city. Back in '69, I was a combat photographer with the First Infantry Division. I visited An Lac and took several photos of the orphans. One of them was named Ngoc (pronounced Nop):

She passed away in 2018 in Hershey, PA and I spoke at her funeral.
This was taken at the Saigon Zoo in 1969. My unit, part of the First Infantry Division, volunteered at the An Lac Orphanage whenever we could. We took a group of them there and bought them lunch with ice cream. It was a real treat for them and they made us feel pretty darn good. I've often wondered where she is today.
