What do you do when you’re waiting at the airport and your flight is delayed 4 hours? Right, post a thread.
Post only humerus portraits. Nothing serious, just something that would make you smile.
My wife and I are returning from a 5 day trip to Las Vegas and spent most of our time away from the city exploring. My wife and I aren’t gamblers but i told my wife she needed to experience the casino night life at least once so last night we went to Wynns and she played the one armed bandit.
She’s smart and hit a jackpot 😁on her first $5 and walked away with her winnings😂. She walked away with $16.58. I snapped a quick iPhone photo

A couple of photos from a couple of years ago. Must have been a goofy time around the Dog House. Martha walked in while I was checking out a new-to-me camera on high speed FPS and stepped right into the line of fire. The next day our girl Christie drying her face on a towel and gave me the big yawn. Christie is a born comedian--I must have a few thousand photos of her antics.

A ‘photo’ from about 20 or so years ago (notice how young and spunky I look!). Whatever camera I was using, it didn’t advance the film for at least four exposures. Still one of my favourites.

Not sure if this photo makes me laugh, shrug my shoulders or cry!
Pre-2008-9 recession, and my camera collection was pretty deep. Rollei 2.8f 12/24, Rollei Wide, a couple of Mooly motors on Leicas, some other wacko Leica accessories, Contax I with a dimple, Brooks Veriwide, SL66, Robot Royal 36, oh yeah and if you look real close you’ll see this obscure weird camera that didn’t seem to go anywhere. Think it was some kind of Fuji — TX-1 maybe I think it was called? Yeah what a worthless camera that turned out to be eh? Don’t worry I sold it off.
I don’t see the Contaflex TLR kit in this photo so that was still to come. Yeah things got just a bit intense!
Every single one of these cameras is long gone, but a new, different collection has taken its place. Maybe I should update this photo!
So laugh, cry or shake your head in disbelief at my apparent foolishness. Think I know which one my wife would express.

Guess this might be a ‘fun’ shot…
Every Halloween I photograph an event in west Baltimore for a client of mine, who is the largest employer in that part of town. It’s a bit of a ‘challenging’ section of Baltimore so this business is a sort of diamond in the rough, if you will. Anyhow, this is a community Halloween event put on by the client and all the area school children are invited. A pumpkin patch, games, food and all kinds of amusements are there for everyone. They even hand out mitts, winter hats and school supplies. It’s also a bit of a draw for local and state politicians (I have met one Governor and one Lieutenant Governor there in the past, in addition to multiple Baltimore mayors).
As I was photographing this particular school group being beckoned by their teacher to line up, this one kid just appeared out of nowhere - bouncing along without a seeming care in the world. Thing that stuck out to me was his red boots. I only had time to take this one photo.

My wife is such an easy subject because she’s always clowning around. I admit I provoke it and then snap a photo and she’s always a great sport about it.

You had quite a few Robots back then, did you use them much? Not sure if this photo makes me laugh, shrug my shoulders or cry!

I don't think I used them any more than all the other cameras I had, though if I did it likely was the Royal 36. One of the problems with having so many cameras is that some end up getting neglected after a while. I think the ones I used the most were the Leicas with the Mooly motors. You had quite a few Robots back then, did you use them much?
The one I really regret having sold is that Fuji -- seen the prices of them lately?

x-ray, your wife winning at the slot machine prompts me to post my equivalent. Now, I have never put any money in a slot machine or bought a lottery ticket because I am just understand statisitics too much. But 3 months ago, my wife who is Cuban and I spent 2 days in Nassau waiting for her flight back to Havana from a family outisland trip. . I am always open to showing her new things and a casino was a new one. So we went to the glitzy Atlantis casino in Nassau. I gave her $5 to pay the slots. She had made 5 of the $1 bets and was $18.30 to the good. I insisted we quit just so I could say that I was a lifetime net winner at casinos. Spent that on 2 drinks at the bar there.
