I use Noise Ninja, but I don't use the stored-profile feature -- I just run the "Profile Image" function separately for each image. It doesn't seem to take much time, and that way I get a profile that's optimized for the individual characteristics of the image (such as balance of bright and dark areas.)
I think the stored-profile feature is useful primarily for cameras in which one channel is dramatically noisier than the others. The R-D 1 doesn't seem to have this problem, so the ability to make and store a profile isn't as beneficial.
