non-rangefinder album?

Dear forum members, I have a question to ask. So far all the pictures I have posted in my RFF gallery are made by a Leica M8. I have some pictures (made in Pakistan, Indonesia, Taiwan, Germany, USA; for example the one posted:

) that are not made by a rangefinder camera and I would like to include those in my RFF gallery also so that all my selected pictures are at one place in one gallery (hate to start another gallery at another site). I recall reading in the rules for premium membership (unfortunately not available any longer) that one non-rangefinder album was allowed? I did apply for a premium subscription but it was right at the time when the site ownership changed so I never got it. So my question is; is a non-rangefinder album allowed at RFF. I apologize if I am breaking any forum rules.

I wouldn't care if your pics were taken with a 'box brownie' .... I'd still want to see them! You have a very distinctive style and what you have taken your photographs with doesn't worry me at all! But that's just my opinion ... others may feel differently? 🙂

Hi Furrukh,
This is primarily an RF forum and as such, the galleries are mainly for RF photos. Many of us do have other interests in photography and so the discussions do tend to go a bit wider. Indeed there are many areas where they overlap. Because of this, few would get upset if there was the odd non RF photo in a gallery as long as it had relevence to RF photography or perhaps street photography. However, the galleries here are to enhance the forum and not as a general area where you can store all your work.

If you find it inconvenient to use more than one gallery, I suggest you use another such as Flickr as many members already do and then provide links to them.

Thanks Kim, no problem - I understand 🙂 Probably the best approach would be to start another gallery at another site and post M8 pictures here. I will keep on pruning my M8 pictures so only a reasonable number are stored here.

There is also the "Sister Forum", dslrexchange.com. DSLR's and SLR's.

Flickr has a 200 photo limit until you upgrade your membership.

Photobucket.com is free, and does not have limits. But they are very paranoid about posted pictures and you might find them deleting some of yours if they think they are copied from commercial sources.
