UK Region Northern Shooting Day

I'd be up for a Northern meet but so close to the London get together and my looming new circumstances I may have to see how it goes. I'd go for Manchester or Newcastle though...and coming from Geordie heritage it hurts to say...Manchester may be best for most people.

Keep bumping the thread and I'll keep and eye on it and see when looks likely and whether my bank managers face is smiley or mighty mad.

Well I'm not really in charge, but how about I propose the 14th/15th July as a starting point?

How does that fit with everybody else?
 
14th/15th July's a no-go for myself, I'm lumbered with a late shift that weekend. The following weekend's clear for myself.
 
Sundays would be better for me (retail really sucks sometimes) but the youngest daughter's birthday is that weekend (14/15th) :bang:

Who am I to complain though? They fund my photographica addiction. :)
 
14-15 July or the week-end after should be ok for me.

Glasgow-Manchester return is a bit more railway exposure than I can tolerate in one single day so I'll probably come down for the whole week-end. I'm sure there are plenty of good value B&Bs to accomodate a single, non-smoking guy and his Leicas for one night...

If people are staying over and others are local, we could always do a few evening beers and a bit of grub as well.

It would be good to get as many votes in as possible on what dates suit everybody.
 
I'm out of this one, too close to my last one and I need to replace some kit - I'm interested in other Northern meets in the future though.

I'm probably OK for 14/15 or following weekend. The newspapers are saying that the 15th will be the summer for 2007 - just a thought!

I can make either dates (so far anyway) if you'll allow AF in the form of my Hexar Silver. Tend to use my Oly OM-1 as my manual/mechanical RF option, even though it's an SLR.

Well I've certainly no problem with it. In fact I've really wanted a Hexar AF for quite a while now and I'd love to have a good look at one.

I'll be bringing my Ricoh GR-1 and Contax G1 neither of which are strictly rangefinders, so it won't feel left out. ;)
