Here's my M2 laid bare, without a stitch. New covering has not yet been ordered, as I'm still deciding how I want it to look for the rest of my life.

the sad thing is, that's exactly what I was expecting to see

I think you should cover it with Hello Kitty stickers

The rest of your life? No, no, no! You can change it every month.

Frank:

Well everyone else has managed to be FAR funnier than I, so I won't try to top them.

At first I thought of the Verdigris kid skin from Morgan Sparks, but the more I thought about it, I decided that it would be more appropriate to have caribou or beaver. Don't you think?

Or, skin a Tory, Grit, or politician of your choice... naw, your hands would end up far too greasy.

You could do it up like the M2 in my gallery. Sort of a reverse chic thing...

Hey Frank,

No witty covering choices here (I'd go for the normal black or red if I felt daring).
I noticed your M2 is of the button rewind type; same as mine. Do you find that you're hitting the rewind button by mistake every now and then?

I was going to replace my covering until it showed up in the mail box.

Stu :)

Yikes! It looks exactly the same as mine did! Somehow, however, I get the feeling this M2 will never look the same as mine does right now....

Some tan coloured cover would look nice.

Beaver, 'ey?! wink, wink :p

I am outraged! This is obscene! What are we now? Rangefinder Porn or what! That lady need to be covered with the best cover at Camera Leather! :p

Stu, what did you mean by this?

Beaver sonded like a fun idea at first, but it would get too slippery.

I know this may sound strange. But, you could go with an exotic wood covering.
Such as, Bird's Eye Maple, Cocobolo or Rosewood.

Checkered or smooth finish? :p

Same as mine, too... Wow, that brings back memories, Stu! I guess I have learned how to keep my finger off the rewind button now, but your question reminds me that long ago I used to have some occasional difficulty with overlapping frames that I finally traced to that mistake.

Just checked the back of my mouse pad. It's black. What a grip! And the price is right.
