nudity worning: may offend some viewers

Thats terrible! Its worse than the Janet Jackson super bowl incident. Now the FCC is going to come down on me hard for this.

Button rewind: Stu and Doug, you've just solved the mystery of my occasional over-lapping frames. My ring finger often rests on the rewind button while I advance the film. That would explain it. Thank you !

Either. :) Wood veneers are as workable as leather, if you know how.
A checkered Cocobolo would be beautiful.

it would look exactly like my Kimber CDP... gorgeous!

Hot!

Hot!

Frank, I think she looks sexy bare. Put on fish net covers and she will be too hot to handle! The viewfinder will steam up.

Hi Frank,

Have you settled on a covering yet? In case you haven't, I ordered one (standard black) from Aki-Asahi and it arrived within a week for a mere $19. I haven't had a chance to install the cover on my M2, but I'll say it looks sharp and the cut seems very precise.

Same as mine, too... Wow, that brings back memories, Stu! I guess I have learned how to keep my finger off the rewind button now, but your question reminds me that long ago I used to have some occasional difficulty with overlapping frames that I finally traced to that mistake.

Yeah, went my first two rolls came out of the 'soup' I thought that my M2 was a dud (Noooo!...). However on rolls #3 and #4 I took note of everything I did and quickly realised the problem was not the camera, but my long-idle fingers.

Stu :)

nudity, cameras, etc...

nudity, cameras, etc...

You guys are crazily hilarious... but i noticed the references to the leica/s as being of the female gender... I guess that's because you are all males... does that make my leicas a stable of guys....:) signed... apparently the only female leica owner...

We don't know where you live, JBW, but wherever it is, the odds are in your favor (as the only female Leica owner for hundreds of miles in all directions).

Then there's Karen Nakumura and her photoethnography site.

Which brings up an interesting question. Why is it, then, that most camera nuts, collectors , users, etc. are men? The fact that there are many legendary and successful women photographers (Susan Meiselas, Margaret Bourke White, Annie Liebowitz, Imogene Cunningham - to name just a few) ought to attract more women to the field.

In terms of this thread, and Leicas, it could be that some women have better sense than to spend a small fortune on an M7 and a couple of lenses. The same sum might be better spent on, say, new furniture, a nice used car, or a Bessa R, a 35/2.5, and a trip to Paris.
