I don't know, I am usually trying to reduce the size of my cameras. I do concede that I probably have the worlds only IIIc with M-winder attached. It still is smaller than those Nikons being mentioned, so not quite a monster.
It's always good to have a least one monster!

Shouldn't it be sharper?
Turns out I won't be at the meet up at Puck Fair, have to get back to Philly by five. Hope to see some of the group shooting at the Easter Parade, where I'll be with my Rolleiflex between 11 AND 1

I won't be able to make the meet as well, I tried to get off but no go, I'm

Hey Guy's hope you all had a great meet today, I had to work but I did sneak
over to the Easter parade and took a few shots of the hat's. I think I was a bit
early because there were not a lot of hat people there yet but I got some shots
with the monster anyway and it was great using the Canon, it has the fastest
focusing around and with the anti shake lens I had it work good.

Cal,
This is the image (@Willets Point) that I took with your Noct-Nikkor with my D3x, a great combination. I am sure you will enjoy them.

I remember that photo walk at willets Point and the cheese ball treats from Andre. Good old times!
I only got to join the meetup for a short while (8 yr wedding anniversary today, and didn't want it to be the last one!), but it was nice to see you guys And also Cal's prints at last

Cal you were interested in the Leica Digital Module R. Here a some shots with a DMR,
http://72.0.232.59/harrisfoto/openfolio/?q=content/leica-dmr
There are a lot more on Flicker at:
https://www.flickr.com/search/?sort=relevance&text=digital module R.
Be advised/forewarned this beast is a cult item. Most probably nothing like it will every be made again. I also used it to copy negatives with great success. Hasselblad V 80mm lens also produces great results with the adapter. I think the Standing Angel was shot with that lens. I did a series of 6 prints from the cemetery about 18x 20 from the DMR shots using Quadtone rip, an Epson 7200 and the native inkset. A friend has them framed in her dining room. In the right hands, the DMR with Leica glass, and your pizo setup will produce gallery quality prints 16x18 - no question. Also, get a known body, back, and battery combo that you know works. If the back dies, it may not be repairable.

Cal,
A D3x with the Noct is going to be quite a rig. It'll be nice and "robust" in size, as well doubling as a class 1a deadly weapon in the right hands
Im glad you're getting the Noct back. Im sure the Lux ASPH is a helluva lens but your Cron ASPH and Nikon screwmount lenses more than cover you for almost any situation in that focal length. You have speed, modern rendering, and old school rendering.
You're gonna love the D3x with the Noct, i have a feeling. That'll be a killer handheld night rig, too.
Wish I could make it to the meetup this Sunday but alas the wife is going away on a last minute business trip so Im gonna be Mr. Mom all weekend. It would probably be frowned upon bringing kids to a bar, right?
Andre,
The Noct-Nikkor came home. Now I feel complete again. Really missed this lens.
It seems the night becons, and I will be doing mucho night shooting. Somehow I amassed a few great/interesting rigs that are great for nightstalking: Monochrom with either 28 Cron or 50 Lux: F3P/ Noct-Nikkor; D3X/Noct-Nikkor; Leica R8/50 Lux "E60."
Then don't forget all the medium format for tripod shots...
BTW those 13x19's are only proofs. Exhibition prints will be 14x21 on 17x22.

Cal,
You might want to check the availability of the DMR battery rebuild as they are rare.

John,
There is a guy who rebuilds them. My friend Jimmy tells me that one needs at least two batteries.
Understand that a DMR would be an "Art Camera." Steve also made me wise that it is a good idea to get a body bundled with a DMR to avoid the possibility of needing to send the body with the DMR to Leica to get it set-up and intergrated.

Hi all,
It was great meeting you everyone for the first time. I'm glad I went! Thanks to the guys who put this together. I'm looking forward to next month
Just wanted to share a couple of photos. I installed my first exhibition this afternoon/evening. Good times, though getting everything level was a little bit of a nightmare.
The details again...
