I look at history, especially economic history.
But if I think deeper about my quote you quoted it does open up a lot of things.
I could say that the American dream was destroyed by greed, and I don’t necessarily point to the wealthy or necessarily government. The middle-class kinda did a lot of self inflicted wounds by living large and beyond their means.
The deficit has been a problem since the year 2000, when the surplus and a balanced budget were in place. Both parties that will remain nameless created this monumental deficit.
There are many factors that got us here. Pretty much making China a favored trade partner was a mistake. There have been mucho bad policy making.
The list goes on and on…
