question to the New Yorkers here, can anyone recommend a photo lab that can still process 35mm and 120 E-6 or C-41 in a day?
I think Dugal. I'm not a regular color shooter though. I still get the student discount from about a decade ago.

B+H only send out, if they even do that. Duggal are an option, they are the big fish.
Try http://www.lti-lightside.com, they are good.

T,
Come by the Meet-Up this Sunday, Mother's Day, at Puck Fair. I'll be there at 12 noon to reserve the space, but the Meet-Up officially begins at 1:00 PM.

UPATE: I installed the Leitax Nikon F-mount on my Leica 50 R Lux "E60." This makes my Nikon D3X a true monster. The timing of my order was just right because Leitax just came out with this "Almost-Auto-Aperture" feature. Generally one must use stop down metering due to the loss of an automatic diaphram, but Leitax came out with a new mount that features a lever to open the iris like on a perspective control lens. The ergonomics makes it rather easy to open the aperture to focus and simply release the lever and the desired f-stop that you selected for exposure snaps back.
At F2.8 there is no need to utilize this feature if there is a lot of light, but for F5.6 or dim lighting this is very useful. Very trick.
BTW the rendering of the 50 "E60" is mucho alike my 50 Lux ASPH and perhaps a touch like a Noctilux wide open. Kinda dreamy but sharp as a MoFo.

Thanks for the invite Cal, I'll see if I can stop by this Sunday.
Will be in Midtown/Central Park with the wife and cousin but will try stop by for an hour.
Unfortunately can't stay for long either as the wife needs to be at the airport by 4pm.

A fly-by is cool if you can. No stress.

I'll be in New York City starting May 17th so guess I'll miss the meet up this weekend :-(
If you will be meeting again before I leave on May 27th, then I'd love to see everyone and say "hi".

Ellen,
Memorial Day is towards the end of May so this month's Meet-Up is on Mother's Day this Sunday.
Let's hook up when you get to NYC.

Glad I was carrying the D3X with 50 "E60" today. This rig is kinda like carrying a fire brick in your right hand as a weapon to mug someone, but it was the perfect tool for the job this morning on my way to work.
My lab is behind Sothebys, the auction house, and almost on the corner of 72d and York is this 10-12 foot white marble statue of this girl wearing a skimpy bikini that is in some contortionist position where here croutch is in the air with her body folded so that her privates are on the same plane as her face facing forward.
Anyways you don't have to be a dirty old man to think about sex, or ask yourself, "Why can't my girlfriend/wife do that?"
What really made for a great 70-80 shot photo session was this guy in a yellow raincoat cleaning and polishing this large scale sculpture to give it a sense of scale. Basically the shot is kinda monotone except for the bright yellow raincoat.
It does not get much better than this. Looks like another shot for my "Street Porn" series.

Cal,
These camera's are bricks that we use, in my case the EOS1DS, they put
up a new steel art display at 72st and Broadway as well, I think I'm going
to take pictures on Saturday as well.

John,
I have about 100 shots to edit from. Took about 70 shots then went to work. Started my cyclotron and surfaced from my bunker to shoot some more. I'm really glad that I got so many shots with the guy with the yellow raincoat. Really gives a sense of scale to the sculpture.
Basically Kate Moss has four ponts of contact with the base: two elbows and her toes with her back folding to her front. The pose is amazing.
At 2:00 PM they were packing it up to move. I'll chimp the shots at the Meet-Up.
Cal
Sounds good Cal.

Christian,
The statue remains under 24 hour guard till Tuesday when it will be auctioned off. Could be an interesting night shot with a tripod. The pose kinda makes me crazy.
