New York NYC September Meet-Up

Yes, great meet-up... I think the largest ever. Crazy amounts of gear and good people. Leicashot, you cannot use img tags in this section of the forum for some reason, it's always been that way.

There is a Book Signing Tonight Monday 26 September 7:00 to 8:00 pm
Strand Booksore / corner of 12th Street & Broadway
Bruce Davidson & his Book 'Subway'

I am going to ask him to sign my copy of 'Circus'

Six M9's at a meet-up is a new record.

Dan, we didn't want to kick out a group of firemen that stole our table. Those guys are kinda big BTW, and we choose not to mess with them. LOL.

Lots of new gear this meet-up. BTW I spilled beer on my own camera.

Thanks to all for welcoming me! It was great fun, despite the two major fails.. #1- Spilling beer on leicashots M9.. and #2- Shooting all day and having my film not advance.. I thought getting 47 frames was strange..

I am on the way back to Chicago, I hope to be able to make it out for another meetup. PM me if anyone finds themselves in Chi-Town in the future.

Something I learned in college. When you put in a new roll and load it up. Watch your rewind to make sure it spins. The most confirmation you'll get that you loaded it right.

Jeff, cool capture, thanks.
That was a nice meet up yesterday.
Here're a few shots I took HERE (the last 7 shots in this set), cheers.

I had an awesome time, it was great meeting you all.

Special thanks to Cal for giving me a bunch of old stuff, and letting me shoot his 58F1.2 lens. This lens is CRAZY-awesome.

Thanks to everyone for letting me poke around in their camera bags, the domke 803 looks like exactly the size I need for now. I might still go for the DIY route and just get the inserts, but it was very informative.

When are you getting an M9
When I shoot color. (BTW for those that don't know me I shoot only B&W.)
I'm kind of surprised Leica hasn't made a special version of the M9 specifically for B&W/IR, using the same sensor with no color or IR filters. I'm pretty sure they could pull it off.

Great shots Kristian.

Cal, you couldn't convince the firemen to give us the back area? (round table).. just kidding.
