New York NYC September Meet-Up

Ah, OK, La Zona Cafetera? We almost went there last time but didn't have time. Maybe next time. Colombia is an awesome place to visit. Amazingly beautiful country.

Cal: I knew what you meant about "full frame", I was just joking.

And since my wife is Colombian and gets annoyed when it's spelled with a "U", I figured me correcting the error will earn me needed brownie points if she ever comes across the stripper/hooters comments :)

And yes, the restaurant serves very good food :). AND, it's super cheap.

As far as language is concerned I'm a real hack. Lyn who is a Ph.D and was taught proper grammar and diction back in Catholic school corrects me all the time, but I tell her that because I'm a minority and a person of color that its rude and oppressive to correct me and it is my right to butcher language and create slang. LOL.

BTW when I was married to a Costa Rican we use to fight all the time in Spanish. LOL.

Cal

P.S. Andre did your wife go to Catholic School?

Wait, isn't english your first language?

Chinese was my first language, but I forgot any Chinese I knew basically because I grew up in the Lily-white suburbs of Lawn-Guy-Land. I once told Helen Hill, " I'm just a white boy trapped in an Asian body." LOL.

My father was illiterate and didn't speak any English, except he could say without an accent "Cut your hair" from all the repeatition. Mostly he just yelled at me all the time and now my hearing is rather damaged. LOL. I would later learn that I really was my father's favorite and now I wonder why parents love the most the kid that they should really hate.

English is really my second language.

My Spanish was so good that at one point Latinos would ask me where I'm from because I lacked an accent, and I use to be able to read Spanish pretty well.

Anyways I use to be a pretty smart guy, but when I was a kid I was rather ferrel and wild.

I laughed really hard watching Mike (Mayor Bloomberg) hack and butcher the Spanish language at press conferences leading up to Hurricane Irene. LOL. Never heard anyone speak so stiffly.

Okay, let's stick with English, cuz' I can't speak Cantonese too. :D

By the way, your 28 Cron is freaking sweet, I just saw the test shots taken from man's room's window.

Tung, what nice things are you going to bring this time? It's always nice to drool on sunday, whether from booze or gear...

I think at one of these meet-ups, we should all have to bring a print or two. I'm too lazy to be ready for next weekend though.

John, you have seen everything I have. I think I'll bring my M9 with 35 Lux asph to try on Cal's fancy hood this time.

Not sure if I mentioned, my ticket is booked and I'm there. Staying in Queens, so best to get the subway there?

Where in Queens? Dunstan, Cal, and I are all along the 7 Train.

If you're along the 7 Train, then take that train to Grand Central, and then grab a downtown 6 Train. Get off a Blecker St and walk a block south.

What part of Queens? Should be plenty easy to get to Puck Fair but if you tell me what neighborhood youll be in I can give exact directions.

Puck Fair is right outside the Broadway/Lafayette St Station (B, D, F, M trains). Also, around the block is the Prince street station (N,R Trains) and the Bleeker street station is close by as well (6 Train)
