What part of Queens? Should be plenty easy to get to Puck Fair but if you tell me what neighborhood youll be in I can give exact directions.
Puck Fair is right outside the Broadway/Lafayette St Station (B, D, F, M trains). Also, around the block is the Prince street station (N,R Trains) and the Bleeker street station is close by as well (6 Train)
Thanks, i'll have to find out the exact location and let you guys know, cheers

John, you have seen everything I have. I think I'll bring my M9 with 35 Lux asph to try on Cal's fancy hood this time.![]()
I suspected that Tung had a 35 Lux ASPH.
BTW for readers, my 28 Cron was used at Keith's group show. From a secured government building on the 19th floor just north of City Hall we took some shots from a bathroom window we opened that displayed the Brooklyn Bridge from a great vantage point.

Bring it. We are gear whores. Someone is likely to buy it and then later buy the M8 to go with the grip. LOL.

Where in Queens? Dunstan, Cal, and I are all along the 7 Train.
If you're along the 7 Train, then take that train to Grand Central, and then grab a downtown 6 Train. Get off a Blecker St and walk a block south.
I'm also near the E and M trains, Queens Plaza, and Queensboro Plaza. Even the bus to Riker's Island is nearby. The N, Q and R trains all will take you to Puck Fair.

There's probably a street portrait series waiting in that bus stop. And you're probably the man for it, Cal.

I've done a lot of urban landscape in LIC and Hunters Point that captures the abandoned and speaks of neglect. Over all there is this emtiness and a true sense of lonelyness. Really contrasts with my street shooting in Madhattan.
I'm hoping that this new apartment I'm waiting on works out with a Fifth Avenue address, just opposite Central Park, in a luxury doormaned building. Basically its Spanish Harlem, and just a block away the neighborhood kinda falls off a cliff where its real edgy. Andre says its a great place to shoot.
Perhaps I'll have to remember all the Spanish I forgot.

We'd almost be neighbors.

From around E 110th to E125th from Lexington to Pleasant Ave is great to shoot. I lived in that neighborhood about 10 years ago for a couple years.
Also, the northern part of Central Park is by far the best part of the park. You have the Harlem Meer on the NE corner at E 110th and 5th Ave and then if you walk west in the woods it is totally overgrown, devoid of people, and kind of eerie. It's great.

I'm hoping this works out. Currently I am waiting for a tenent to move out so I can see the unit.
Also just missed out on a loft in the same building that's magnificent. A lease signing is underway but if it doesn't work out Lyn and I are next in line. Getting the loft means I can print really big: the one bedroom means I will be limited to 11x14.
Anyways I'm a lucky guy. I'm hoping I can get the loft (15 foot ceilings). The one bedroom has only 12 and a half foot ceilings. Either way its kinda cool having a Fifth Avenue address even though its in "El Barrio". LOL. Basically at the end of the Museum Mile not too shabby for a hose bag like me. LOL.
I can see me doing a lot of night shooting with my Noct-Nikkor.

The Harlem Meers is right in front of the building. I can't stress though how the neighborhood transitions drastically a short distance away. High contrast big time.

I have a nearly full box of Epson Ultra Premium Luster Photo Paper 11.7x16.5" (A3). There's probably 42 sheets left.
I'm never going to use this, so if someone wants it, please let me know so I can bring it along. I'll part with it for a beer or two.

Actually, Cal gave me a cool old Nikon polarizer but I have since sold my Nikon. I asked Cal and he doesn't want it back. Anyone want it?
So, is this the pawn your junk off on someone else meet-up? I'll bring some stuff too.
