i believe this (minus the 'too little reward' part) hints at an umbrella concept that personally i support. in the end it may strengthen 'photojournalism'.
the idea that 'anyone with a camera' can be a photojournalist has created a severely bloated industry pumping out mediocrity at an intense pace. in actuality 'anyone with a camera' can indeed call themselves a photojournalist or whatever they please. this doesn't necessarily make it so.
to save you all a long read i will simply add this. it's time to separate the wheat from the chaff. in the end photojournalism will remain and will be stronger than ever. it just might not be a job uncle Ken with his dslr can make a living at.
