Just to keep you updated: yesterday, Saturday, I went to Central Camera in Chicago. It turned out they had a special in bags. I looked at a lot: Domke 802, Lowepros AW5 and Stealth Reporter 400 and 650... And ended up with a Lowepro AW 5. Reasons? Really good padding and, in terms of size, easier to carry about and place under an airplane seat. Also, I may use it as my carry-all bag during the trip.
I also played with a Summilux 50... and an M7. The guys sold some three digital cameras while I was perusing bags, so that store isn't going anywhere anytime.
BTW, I sold some equipment to them as well: a Tokina AF 19-35 and a Nikon AF 50/1.8 got me $100. Granted, it's not a lot but at least I saved myself the hassle of selling them online at Nikonians or anywhere else. It seems now that my plans of going digital have been definitely shelved away (that was the reason I bought the Tokina lens a while ago). However, my evil intentions of getting a Summilux to replace my Summicron 50 have just sprung...
What can I do? I'm a gearhead.
Thanks! 🙂
