oh for the love of god help!

I remember messing around with the Compur shutter on my Crown Graphic and watching in horror as all the leaf shutter blades fell out and landed on the desk in front of me!

It was a defining moment!

Keith, you probably don't recognise the lens in pieces above, but it's the Nikkor-S 5cm f1.4 that came on your BD S2 😎

Works like a charm now 😉

It's definitely age related also .... I watch my son often, working on intricate parts from his remote control cars without the need for glasses in average to poor light and not battling the five thumbs that I seem to have grown on each hand! 😛

One of the aperture blades was out of position, and would start to buckle when stopped down to f11 - f16 😱

An aperture I never go near ... not surprising I never noticed it. 😛

I'm a little surprised that Pete Smith never noticed it because I did ask him to check the lens when he CLA'd the body!

I didn't notice it for the first few rolls either 😉

No worries though, its working like a champ now 🙂

dreams come true!
thanks all.
thanks jon, knowing someone did it and kept at it for 5 hours until they did made all the diff from yesterday.

For your next fix of masochistic punishment, dismantle the shutter on a Werra. It's getting the capping shutter back together... then realising that you have to turn it upside down to get it on the rest of the mechanism without that dropping bits everywhere... then trying to get the activation ring properly seated and keep it there while you put the lid on... Each and every step can lead to tears of frustration and fist marks in walls!

Seriously, well done - you have my respect!

Adrian
