The lens looks soo nice, your photos very nice, how i'd love this lens!
How much is a Nocti, about?
Brand New F.95 $12,000 AUD.
Second hand off E(vil) Bay... About $6,000 USD.
If I bought one this way I would get hammered with import duty and GST. (approx $1,000 total)
Also I'm very reluctant to pay $6,000 USD for something I haven't been able to see before hand for real.

Maybe I am seeing things, but it seems like these two photos and maybe one or two others have some sort of anomaly in the upper left corner. It looks as if the focus in each photo is on the foreground, which is in the lower part of the photo. Then the middle ground is very out of focus, as it should be. Then the more distant upper left corner seems to sharpen up again. Somehow, the more distant upper left corner seems more in focus than the middle ground. It's not just vignetting; it actually looks sharper. Does anyone else see that? What could be the cause?

This is field curvature, it means that the focal plane is not parallel to the sensor. Nocti 1.0 has quite heavy field curvature, sometimes helpful, sometimes not. For most motifs it doesnt matter, IMO.
I have an example where the field curvature is helpful: the very thin focal plane goes along the bale´s surface.

Zlatko, that's actually true. I didn't notice it until you brought it up. And thanks to C R for the explanation, even if you wrote it in white so I had to mark it to make it visible
Field curvature, huh?
