Hello all, I recently aquired a cool old camera I know very little about, it is a Rochester Optical Primo A, it is an old box camera inside a leather case. The lens has Victor on the nameplate. It appears to be in pretty good shape. Any suggestions? How much would it be worth? I just found this site, very interesting, I moonlight as a freelance automotive writer/photographer just switching over to the slr format and love my D-70s nikon. thanks for any help....

Can't say I ever heard of it. But you have asked in the right place. Somebody is bound to know of it, and perhaps even have experience shooting one.

Yes that's the one, by the way I like your Ford GT avatar, that's one amazing car. A few years ago I got the chance to drive one for a couple hours. Didn't wanna give it back....

The first link (Allexperts) in google when a searching for "Premo A" tells me the current day price for this camera is between $75 and $125.

Thanks for the info, I think I will hang on to it, it's a pretty neat looking old piece. May pass it down to the kids...again thanks...
