Dont know if an m4-p is yet classed as old but the lens is new (color skopar 35mm)
As long as a camera works it doesnt matter if its 50 year old or a brand new MP when shooting film

I support the "whatever works, in whatever combination", but voted for the old camera/new lenses - as a roundabout odd way of thanking cameraquest and voigtlander. I've had a Fed2 for years that I never got on with, results never worked for me, the Fed collapsible 50 had terrible flare and I had no other lenses to try with it.

Enter the CV21mm in LTM! What a revelation! The camera works great, and is great for a lens so wide that focus is a relative concept.

Old Summicron 50 on M8

Old Summicron 50 on M8

Since getting my M8, I have rediscovered my first generation rigid Summicron 50 chrome M mount. It spends an inordinate amount of time mounted. It originally lived on my M4.
