Focus is slow, no question about that. But if you are shooting with M glass, it woudl be quicker then a Leica. The acutal shutter lag is perhaps slightly slower then a DSLR but it can shoot 3 FPS.

the quickest way I have found to shoot with this camera is to set it to MF, pre focus and fire at will.

Zone focus when using an OVF, or you can use the zoom focus assist of the LCD.
