Hi, I've got a quick question for you all. My Mju II arrived today. When I opened up the back I noticed a plastic strip next to the take up spool. I thought this might be a stuck bit of film so I gave it a gentle pull and it didn't budge. What is this? I've seen it in some videos showing how to load the film into the camera so I know it's supposed to be there now. Is it super fragile... should I have not been pulling it and getting fingerprints on it etc? Thanks

Yes, it should be there... Just try to load the film and shoot the test roll - if all works fine then hopefully you did not brake anything.

Don't pull it even though it's hard to resist.
It works like some sort of film protecting shield to prevent scratches.

It’s part of the wind on mechanism.
An essential part.

ohhhh boy, you really did it this time. She's dunzo at this point...might as well pack her up and send her to me!
Just kidding...I actually just recently was messing with mine. I'm a super fidgety person and my girlfriend says I'm constantly breaking things just because I mess with stuff to much. You are probably just fine, from what I remember it's on there pretty good. I shot a few rolls after playing with it and didn't notice anything that could have been related to that. I do have a very strange light leak (check the thread a few down) but it's not related to that tab
