OM 2s/2n cable shutter release

Hi,

Do the OM 2n and 2sp take different cable releases? I am looking for a cable release on ebay and I have one seller telling me that his release works for both and one telling me it only works for the 2sp, so I am wondering if it is possible that one cable release works for both cameras? Thanks a lot for any info you can provide, I could not find an answer in the forum history. Thanks!

All Olympus OM models use standard tapered thread cable releases. There's no difference between models and you do not need a special release for them.
