I've picked up a black OM-D and the 12-50 ED kit lens, a couple of weeks ago.. I also got the adaptor to attach my 35 1.2 ASPH Nocton... So far the camera has been great..
Even though I lost the owners manual in my car, that was recently stolen..

The OM-D has with in my long term project documenting the destruction of the habitat in Airdrie..The swivel screen has been a god send as much of my work I like to shot from above.

So far I have only been shooting j-pegs as my I-photo and Lightroom don't support the raw.

For the most part I have been shooting in B+W but have had done a few shots in color and they seem fine for digital..

In truth complaint I have about the camera is that it isnt 24-36 (full frame) but I knew that going in. And the fact I can't seem to find a second battery has left me high and dry on two occasions.

However since I always carry more than one camera I was able to get the shots. Thank good for my trusty Nikon F2as loaded with B+W.

The camera it self is humourly tiny in my hand. Kind of reminds me of my Mini Rollie ... Thought about getting the grip for the OM-D but funds are tight right now...

Starting a new job on monday so soon that will not be an issue.

As far as glass, I havnt even looked at what is availible.
But after seeing some of the sample images I am seriously considering
getting a Voit 17.5mm .95. And more than Likely a second OM-D. As I hate changing lenses.. To many missed moments..

I thought I was going to be able to use my Canon 200 1.8 EF L on the OM-D but as it happens there adaptor they have dosnt support USM glass..

Does anyone know if the the OM-D has the ability to do high speed Video ?

It doesn't. Video is one of the weak points of the OM-D.

I recommend the eBay batteries. They are good value, but require a separate charger. You absolutely need more than one battery with this camera.

Good shots!

I had a turn on and off from these cameras for a while, never really THAT impressed with their IQ, noise, lens choice etc. I did start with a G1 and moved to a GH1. But it seems the lens choices have really opened up, the OM-D is a fantastic camera & the slew of cheap and new lenses from all parties has really opened the system up.

I would say unless you want to drop a lot on a SLR system, the OM-D and a few cheap primes or all around zoom is the go. Currently I use Sigma 19mm, Panasonic 14mm & recently acquired 12-35mm, Oly 45mm. The fact I can tote around all these lenses and it still weighs less than a D800 + 35mm f1.4 is a huge plus. Anyways enough of my ramblings, here's some recent pics from the new 12-35mm. Jealous of the Manila photos posted earlier, will definitely have to go out soon and fire up silver efex again!

One last question though, any tips for focusing when doing street? I've only taken the camera out twice now but I did find myself missing critical focus, maybe because I'm rushing things. Any tips for best focus methods would be appreciated.

I am not sure if I would sell my 35 m kit to go micro 4/3 but I am sure many will..

Having limited use of glass in the Micro 4/3 world puts me in less than ideal position to judge..

I can say that the OM-D is tough little camera that delivers acceptable IQ for the size of the sensor..

If it was full frame I think many would indeed switch from their DSLR

The high ISO setting on this camera continues to amaze me. This is a shot taken near Chelan, WA. ISO was 4000, tripod mount, IS off, Lumix 20mm @ F1.7 for 6s. One shot on magnifying, reveals M31, Andromeda Galaxy. The glow on the left is downtown Chelan.
