One camera, one lens, one film

Deardorff 8x10 on a wood tripod, brass barrel lens, HP5
Top Hat and Cigars.

No not really!

It would be my M4, 1.4/40 VC SC, and FP4.

The Alternative Scenario

The Alternative Scenario

keep them coming, one camera one lens, one film doesn't just have to be down a bunker, you might want to escape the disaster up a mountain or indeed on a desert island, y choice would be an island off the coast of Scotland or Northumberland...a camera that could handle cold would be good

If we're talking the apocalypse, then I guess the Hasselblad 500 and the 80mm. But what about film and chemicals???? Raid all those abandoned camera stores?

M2 and a Summaron, such a great combination.

I used to have that combo too,
but at the moment, I am content with the Summicron 35/2 IV,

All those abandoned camera stores were abandoned long before the apocalypse.
🙁

Finding chemicals in un-abandoned ones today is a big enough challenge .
More likely to find the bunker was stocked up in the 1960's when it was built - so Tri-X, D76 and powdered fixer will still be there; might even have some Kodak paper 😉

I like leica, and right now I have an M2 and Summicron but...as a leica is not a that much reliable camera, and going to bunker means no more service opportunity, I would like to go with Nikon F2, 35mmf2 and Neopan 400. Best film ever.

Leica not reliable? I've had an M6 for 18 years and an M2 for 10 years. No problems so far. Leicas don't like to be dropped or banged around too much or the rangefinder gets out of adjustment. However, with a reasonable amount of care they seem to be very reliable. Sorry if you've had a bad experience.

Should I make it into the bunker I would have with me what I always do: Rolleiflex with some Portra 400 and HP5+, my M6TTL (with one spare battery), Adox CHS 100, T-max 400.

Seeing Frank Hurley's pics of the Endurance should be enough proof for what can be done with limited film stock.

From the cameras I have I would stick with Contax S2 (because it is fully manual and has 1/4000 - sorry Leica) and 50mm Contax Planar. Kodak Tri-X will be my film choice.

Is this cheating ?

Rolliflex T + 16 exposure mask + Rollekin + set of 3 Rolleinars. This way I would get 6x6, 6x4.5 and 35mmm options.

Film would be HP5+, since it would allow for a range of ISO 200- 1600+ with fine results...

From my inability to properly respond, you can understand why I have such a collection of cameras... 🙂
